What Librify stores
Your account email and display name; an Argon2id password hash (never the password itself); profile handle, bio, location, Favourite Creator, header and The Five choices; and the activity, progress, ownership, wishlist and Love records you choose to create.
Sessions and security
Sign-in uses a random session token in an HTTP-only, SameSite cookie. Only a SHA-256 digest of that token is kept in the database. Production cookies require HTTPS.
Product analytics
Librify records first-party events such as account creation, searches completed, and activity, progress, collection and Love changes. Events use coarse metadata only: no password, note text, search text, API key, cookie or IP address is stored in the analytics table.
External metadata
When configured, search terms are sent from the Librify server to the selected media APIs. Artwork and web fonts can also be requested by your browser from their external hosts. Provider credentials remain server-side.
Visibility
The prototype treats personal media activity as private. Every personal-data request is scoped to the signed-in account. Future community or Taste features must be opt-in before they can use private activity beyond your own experience.
Retention and requests
Prototype records remain until the site operator removes them or the prototype database is reset. Before public beta, Librify needs a verified account export/deletion flow and a named privacy contact.

Using Librify
This prototype is provided to test cross-media discovery, logging, progress and ownership. Keep your sign-in details secure and do not misuse the service, attempt to access another account, evade rate limits, upload unlawful material or interfere with availability.
Your records
You retain responsibility for the notes and collection information you enter. Librify does not claim ownership of third-party titles, descriptions or artwork.
Third-party metadata
Film, television, game, book, comic, music, audiobook and podcast metadata may come from credited providers and remains subject to their terms. Librify uses documented APIs only; it does not scrape provider websites or redistribute provider datasets.
Prototype limits
The service may change and is supplied without a production service-level promise. Back up anything important. Public beta terms, governing law, age requirements, liability language and a named operator contact require legal review before launch.
